BOOM! goes the Mic

        Today I was introduced to a new piece of equipment...the boom mic. I was given the task of controlling the mic, while Adam controlled the camera. Today's task was to harvest decorative gourds to prepare for the season. This was the first time that I've ever controlled a boom mic, and I'm not going to lie...it is actually quite tiring. Adam and I patrolled among our classmates, looking for good opportunities to film and document the experiences of the day. We were told to try to get the boom mic into the middle of groups in order to capture multiple voices more effectively.
